Rafters Company (6th – 8th grade)

Combining theater and the social issues of the day, this troupe is designed to support spirited young teens over the transition from middle to high school.  Providing a safe environment and good modeling by young instructors are primary goals while the focus of this program is on more advanced skill development. Improvisation is used as a tool to foster the development of a more cohesive group at this age level and scripts are carefully chosen to provide opportunities for discussion of characters and themes of particular interest such as, racism, peer pressure and love.
